TradeShield respects the privacy and confidentiality of personal data provided through our website and services. This Privacy Policy and Personal Data Protection Notice explains how E-Cure Sdn. Bhd. (Company No. 200401022720 (661225-X)), as proprietor of TradeShield ("TradeShield", "we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses, stores and discloses personal data. It applies to visitors, users, prospective clients, clients and other individuals whose personal data is processed in connection with TradeShield Track & Trace and Recovery services.

  • from relevant trade, logistics or commercial parties;

  • from other lawful sources relevant to the assignment.

Why We Process Personal Data

We may process personal data to:

  • receive and assess enquiries;
  • verify identity, authority and relevant commercial interests;
  • prepare quotations and proposals;
  • provide Track & Trace and Recovery services;
  • conduct lawful checks, enquiries, tracing and verification;
  • communicate with clients and relevant third parties;
  • prepare reports, findings and updates;
  • administer payments and accounts;
  • prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents;
  • comply with legal, regulatory and compliance obligations;
  • establish, exercise or defend legal rights; and

Information Required From You

Certain information is necessary for TradeShield to assess and perform an assignment. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to assess the enquiry, verify the relevant parties, provide a quotation or accept or continue the assignment.

Information About Other Persons

You may sometimes provide personal data relating to another individual, including a director, employee, consignee, consignor, counterparty, debtor, representative or logistics contact.

By doing so, you confirm that you are legally entitled to provide that information for the relevant purpose.

TradeShield will process such information only as reasonably necessary and permitted by applicable law.

Disclosure of Personal Data

Where reasonably necessary and permitted by law, personal data may be disclosed to:

  • TradeShield personnel and authorised representatives;
  • service providers supporting our technology, communications, storage or administration;
  • payment processors;
  • carriers, freight forwarders, agents, logistics providers and relevant trade participants;
  • investigators, verification providers or operational partners;
  • lawyers, accountants and other professional advisers;
  • relevant counterparties or their representatives;
  • government departments, regulators, courts or law enforcement authorities where required or permitted by law; and
  • other persons authorised by you or reasonably necessary for the assignment.

Overseas Processing and Transfers

Because TradeShield may handle international trade matters, personal data may need to be accessed, disclosed or processed outside Malaysia.

Where this occurs, TradeShield will take reasonable steps to ensure that the transfer is undertaken in accordance with applicable Malaysian personal data protection requirements.

Security

TradeShield will take reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.

Access to personal data will be limited to persons who reasonably require it for an authorised purpose.

Retention

You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time. Stopping marketing communications will not prevent TradeShield from sending communications necessary for an enquiry or active assignment.
